Boneca

A rebrand for a London electro party organiser that needed to look like it sounds

Project Overview

Project Overview

Boneca organises electro parties in London, renting venues and building a night around each one. The old brand was a logo and an event listing; we rebuilt it into a system — logo, pattern, colour, posters, social templates and merch — that works on a venue wall, a phone and a T-shirt.

Challenges & Objectives

Challenges & Objectives

Electronic music branding tends to two extremes: illegible or generic. Boneca needed to feel dark, sharp and a little elegant, and stay readable on a poster seen from across a street.

Logo

Logo

The wordmark is set in Wicked Hearts, a display face with the right amount of edge, and the “C” becomes a standalone mark that can be repeated, rotated and cut into.

Pattern

Pattern

A pattern of repeated marks, built to run behind line-ups on posters, across merch and as venue projections.

Colour Palette

Colour Palette

Ultraviolet on black, with white for type. One colour, so the brand is recognisable at a glance in a feed full of neon.

Posters, social, merch

Event posters, a set of Instagram templates for line-ups and announcements, and merch — tees and accessories — all from the same three elements.

Outcome
Outcome

Every Boneca party now looks like Boneca before you read the line-up, whichever venue it’s in.
